neck and genuine walnut fin- 4 Finless bridge. Post back with pics of anything you check out or buy (or at least a model number). That is why it's mostfun to play a Kay 3 995 K6120 KAY 'WESTERN' 'singina' guitar with a bio resonant Its specie/ shape makes and singing. If it is in good shape, it's a great guitar!

Since they were pressed some of the tops start to collapse, while others look brand new, so it's really the luck of the draw / where it lived / who took care of it. They were made with pressed solid woods (some with birch) so they get a really clear bark going (birch bark!? sorry). The acoustic archtops sound amazing, but as mentioned, often have neck problems. Harmonys were made with an eye towards value but with high quality materials. I owned a Meteor forever and nothing I've played since compares to the tone (can't use single coils or I would still be using it). The nicest ones are the hollowbodies: 25"+ scale on higher end ones, bolt on neck, very light fully hollow body, and 1.75" nut. as evidenced by the $1k+ price tags on vintage models. Harmonys are great and very sought after if they have Dearmond / Rowe gold foil pickups (most do). Those speed knobs were on there when I got it. Here's a pic of my reclamation project - I've since changed the knobs, I don't care for the Harmony "cupcake" knobs, so I'm trying different ones out.

So, if you can grab one for around 2 bills, I'd get it, the hollow bodies are being listed for 400 and up on cl in the Chicago area. I'd like to put a Bigsby on it, but I think the string spacing is too narrow, and I'd be worried about changing the tone of it as well.
#Kay guitar database upgrade
I may get a better neck off ebay as the frets are pretty worn down as well, and I also want to upgrade to better tuners. I had some issues with the neck, but that's because I pieced it together and the neck neck I got from eBay had one of the neck screws screwed too deep and it pushed the 15th fret out, but once I took care of that it's fantastic. I got the action to set very nicely as well. It needs a "real" pickguard, I don't care for the tail piece, the body was stripped by the guy I got it from (although I like it how it is), but it has the "mustache" pickups, which sound amazing through my AC15. I agree - I just finishing rebuilding a 1965 or so Harmony Rocket "reclamation project" and I love it.
